Scholarship details

The Wimdu Scholarship programme recognizes the skills it takes to create a successful marketing campaign in a fast-moving, international economy. A bi-annual scholarship of $2000 will be provided in the months of September and February with the purpose of aiding two promising students who are interested in pursuing a career in marketing and business related fields. Following its launch in 2011 Wimdu GmbH has played an important contribution to the travel industry through innovative strategies and successful marketing campaigns. Wimdu consists of a growing international team of professionals and focuses on harnessing a dynamic entrepreneurial spirit across the company.

Who is eligible

Applicants must be approaching their final year of study of a Marketing, Business Administration or Communications degree. Applications should be made from an associated* college/university email account with proof provided from the college/university that confirms the applicant meets the set criteria. The scholarship award is open to all nationalities, provided they are enrolled at a US-based college or university.

How to apply

Applications must consist of a 1500-2000 word synopsis outlining a Marketing campaign targeted at increasing the awareness of the Wimdu brand across the US. Alternatively, the entry may be submitted in presentation or video form. Applications will be judged on creativity and how compelling the campaign is. Rules and Guidelines

  • Applications will be checked for any signs of duplication - all essays submitted should be written by the applicant themselves and be free from plagiarism.
  • Applicants must be able to prove they are due to start their final year on a Marketing, Business Administration or Communications focused course in September
  • Applications must be submitted from a college/university email accounts and include the following:
    • 1500-2000 word essay
    • Proof of student status for 2013-14 academic year.
    • Proof of enrolment onto final year of a Marketing/Communications/Business course.
